Yesterday I got picked up at the field, as usual.
There were carrots and some dried bread in my human’s pocket, which I robbed.
She was late again. It was pitch dark by the time she came to get me and my friend Ori.
So I get to my box, walk in — and there was NO DINNER!
I even dug around in the straw, trying to find it, but it wasn’t there!
She went and got Ori and I glared at her over the door. I could see my dinner. It was right there outside my stable!
When she opened the door again, I tried to make a run for it, but she wouldn’t let me, and tied me up instead. I admit the scrubbing session was much appreciated. All that loose hair is itchy as hell and she does a good job scrubbling my whole body.
But…dinner! No matter how much I craned my neck, I couldn’t get to it.
Then she put me back inside–still no dinner.
Okay, she brought my bucket a minute later, but omg, I had to dig up the entire back wall to check if it was buried.
So, since she was mean and slow with the food (Hay doesn’t count.), I figured I’ll give her something to think about. The digging made her pull faces…so I spent most of the night digging. And digging. And some more digging.
Yep, she ended up carting away three of those wheelie contraptions full. Heaped full.
And I have a nice fresh straw bed, and–most importantly–dinner.
